Marta Massera (PhD Fellow)

Marta Massera is a PhD candidate at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and the Italian Center for International Cooperation (CCI) under the PRESILIENT programme. She conducts research on the socio-economic functioning of the informal economy in Senegal, with a particular focus on the informal food sector. Marta holds a master's degree in International Development from SciencesPo Paris and worked in the cocoa sector as MEL and Research Analyst on economic sustainability, gender dynamics and deforestation. More recently, she worked in Senegal, participating in international cooperation projects related to food sovereignty and climate resilience.
